A successful Linking Enterprise event on Clusters

On Saturday, 29th May 2010, the Malta Chamber held its fourth successful Linking Enterprise event, hosted by Toly Products Ltd and the Manufacturers and Other Industries Economic Group (MEG). In attendance representing the Malta Chamber were Director General Ing. Ray Muscat, Policy Development Manager, Mr Andre Fenech, who opened the event, and Executives Ms Sara Buttigieg and Ms Jeanelle Catania. Following Mr Fenech's brief welcoming address, MEG Chairman and Group Director of Toly Products Ltd, Mr William Wait, gave an overview about the Economic Group and its objectives, which in fact include the promotion of Clusters.
In his company presentation, Mr Andy Gatesy, Chairman of Toly Products Ltd gave a brief history of the company, which will be celebrating 40 years of manufacturing next year. Mr Gatesy said that in Malta, Toly has focused upon automation and clustering, as well as innovation, in order to differentiate Toly from its competitors and show customers that we can be the most creative packaging supplier.
